Crab Apple Tree in Spring

We planted this crab apple tree in the Aurora Arboretum behind our house when we decided to unearth it from our front yard and replace it with a Japanese cherry.  Gordon Barnes marked it with a yellow tag as he made his way through the Arboretum to plot out a new trail and make plans for an upcoming irrigation system that is intended to support the Arboretum Meadow's tree lined perimetre.

This is the time of year when I love it the most, while in the bloom of spring!
