1/7/2012 ~ Paul Eating
104
We all have our *thing*. One of Paul's is standing by the fridge eating food. Hoping to fly under the radar unnoticed or something.

1/6/2012 ~ Birthday Card
103
I sorted out the Pampered Chef organizer that we use for writing tools today. It's slightly more orderly now.
Griffin put it to good use signing a card for his friend Sarah's upcoming birthday party at the movie theatre on Friday.

1/5/2012 ~ Coffee and Tea

Completely changed this cupboard around today to allow for a shelf dedicated to tea on the bottom.
Bumped up the ever popular "Battery" storage box to a higher shelf.

1/4/2012 ~ Who Says You Won't Put Pinterest to Use?
101
I was on Pinterest when I added this pin to my Organization folder (1st image below) of a simple magazine box used as cling wrap and foil organizers.
I loved the idea so much that I put it to work and revamped the worst cupboard in my entire kitchen to sort out my wraps. (2nd and 3rd)
It used to end like a bad game of Kerplunk when we pulled one out from below, the top ones would fall. Now I used organizers that I already had and sorted out my stuff and also labelled the boxes "wraps" "foils" "bags". Done deal.

1/3/2011 ~ CD Reorganization
100
Today I brought all of the CD's up to the livingroom and pared them down until I could fit the most important ones into a CD case that we got from Rose. It's nice to have them all up on the main floor again, yet organized into closed storage. And I have a box of old CDs that Justin wants.

1/2/2012 ~ Big Nonna's China Cabinet
99
Today we emptied out Paul's Grandmother's old china cabinet. I decided I would rather house the storage upstairs in a credenza that I keep in the upper hallway. It felt nice to reorganize this storage and make space.

1/1/2012 ~ New Year, New Order
98
I have plans to reorganize. Here is the first of the projects. I brought the old CD racks up from the basement to Lily's bedroom and decided to use them for all of the kid's movies. This compiles all of the accumulation of dvds from four different locations, into one.
It is much more filled in now than it is in this picture from the first day. It also gives Lily three display shelves in the center. One that she uses to charge her Ipod, the second that she uses to display her collection of tynees and the third for her other trinkets.

12/25/2011 ~ Merry Christmas
91
For the record YES, I am aware of the true meaning of Christmas but gift giving brings me joy. Before you judge my massive piles of gifts you should know that I am a master sale shopper. Pulling off Christmas the way that I do, is an art. I start sale shopping in January, finish gift buying by the end of August and finish gift wrapping by the end of October. At least, those are my goals. Sometimes I wrap as I go, so I colour code my kid's gift wrap in some way so I can tell the difference. This year, Griffin had the red and blue paper....all reindeer prints. Claire had the burgundy papers...all Santa prints and Lily had the pastel papers...ornament prints. Easy way to tell the difference.
Meema came to spend Christmas with us and slept over on Christmas Eve.
Nonna popped over for a while on Christmas day as well.

12/24/2011 ~ Cookies for Santa
90
The big guy is coming tonight so I spent some time baking. Christmas cookies abound!
And yesterday we had our daycare Christmas party and my childcare kiddos spoiled me.
Remy's family gave me gift cards for the LCBO (woo hoo!) and a night out at The Keg steak restaurant (bliss).
Violet's family gave me decadent espresso candies and a gorgeous hand carved butterfly necklace.
It's wonderful to feel appreciated.
